If you love your funk fresh and laid back, you will love Funkshy! They dropped their latest album A London Rhythm earlier this year and it’s been getting a lot of airplay on jazz and nu soul stations across the capital. It’s when they perform is live however, that you realise the class of this supreme group of artists.

Led by renowned drummer Tansay Omar, this 6-piece band is fronted by two incredible vocalists, Deborah Lee and Living Sounds (Derane): their stunning, powerful vocals will blow you away. They are supported by band members who are rated among London’s finest groove musicians. Together, their seamless mix of Funk, Dub, World, Reggae, and Soul will have you out of your seat and bopping away to a whole new kind of groovy rhythmic London funk.

After a sensational set in November, Funkshy return to The Stable in Whitechapel: renowned for its tasty pizza, pies and cider. Entrance is free, and no advance booking or dining are needed.
