Best known for his residencies at Momo, The Mandrake Hotel, and Green Room (Maddox), DJ Mr Lawrence will be fusing his trademark soundtrack of deep house, world beats and groovy tech with Turkish and Oriental musical influences for his set at Yosma on Saturday 28 July.

A DJ for more than a quarter of a century, Simon Lawrence has graced the decks for royalty from the worlds of film, fashion, music and politics, including Sir Elton John, Dior, Donatella Versace, and HRH Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia. He has performed in over 20 countries on four continents and was the world’s first DJ to play at Rome’s Coliseum.

Simon Lawrence forged his name as long-term resident of iconic London restaurant Momo, which did as much for Moroccan culture as it did for its cuisine. A-listers like Madonna, Liv Tyler, Cameron Diaz, Sacha Baron Cohen, Val Kilmer, Kylie Minogue, Keanu Reeves were regulars at the venue’s legendary downstairs bar-cum-club, where DJ Mr Lawrence’s eclectic mix of dance music fused with North African and Ottoman beats, powered by a phenomenal sound system, would create the ultimate late night global electro party groove.
