Indulge your senses with this special night of live music and painting

It’s not often an event promoter combines amazing live music with art in a historic setting and all for a good cause, but that’s exactly what consultant Zeynep Ober sets out to achieve with Painting Meets Music.

While the event name lacks imagination, the evening’s contents certainly sparkle. Renowned flautist Şefika Kutluer performs, accompanied by gifted pianist and bone cancer survivor Fred Scott. Their two-part recital includes Gluck’s Dance of the Blessed Spirits, Bach’s Minuet and Badinerie, and Mozart’s Andante.

During their performance, acclaimed artist will create two new paintings inspired by the music he hears. We are also promised a surprise twist at the end.

This magical event will be staged in the beautiful St James’s Piccadilly church, designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

Along with the proceeds from the concert, Erek’s artworks will be auctioned off at a later date to raise money for bone cancer charity SCAT.  The charity is dedicated to advancing bone cancer research, as well as providing the best possible care and support during treatment for patients to help them to maintain their overall quality life.

The charity has special significance to event promoter Zeynep Ober, who lost her dad to bone cancer, and also to Fred Scott, who documented his battle against cancer in a life-affirming book called One Autumn Day: Surviving Cancer.

Tickets to the concert are available online priced £15 and £20.
