TCCA to host election debate with three main candidates for Tottenham

The Turkish Cypriot Community Association (TCCA) is hosting a three-way election hustings with candidates from the three main parties.

Chaired by Kıbrıs Postası columnist Ertanch Hidayettin, the TCCA General Election 2019 debate will feature incumbent MP David Lammy (Labour), and his two main challengers on December 12: communications consultant James Newhall (Conservative) and Crouch End Councillor Tammy Palmer (Liberal Democrats).

The hustings will provide an opportunity for the three main parties to debate issues on concern to Turkish Cypriots. There will be mixture of questions; from the floor and others which would have been forward from voluntary organisations.

The two-hour event will start promptly at 7.30pm. It is open and free to the public to attend. However, prior online registration via Eventbrite is essential.

After the debate, there will be an opportunity to chat to the candidates and also enjoy some light refreshments.

For those who cannot attend the event will be streamed live by Euro Genc TV, TCCA’s media partner.
