Turkish extras needed for filming in London this autumn

A British casting agency has put out an appeal for Turkish origin or Turkish-looking men and women of all ages to take part in paid film work in September and October of this year. While no mention of the actual project is given, The Casting Collective says filming will take place “in and around London, and also the South East”.

The Casting Collective, which specialises in background work, placing artistes as extras and walk-ons for film, TV and commercials, is asking all those interested to make an online application.

Extras must be over the age of 16, be legally allowed to work in the UK and have a flexible work schedule. Good rates of pay apply – The Casting Collective’s daily basic (for nine hours work including meal break) is £84 + travel allowance. Other expenses are also covered.

The online form requires interested parties to register their contact details and to upload a photograph, give their physical details with accurate measurements, and, for non-EU subjects, their passport and work visa details. Extras are also expected to be flexible and free at short notice, have a ‘can do’ attitude, be an early riser, and “not mind long filming days”.

Those interested can find out more and apply here.
