One of the biggest names in Turkish rap, Ezhel, is heading back to Britain this autumn as part of his Live in Europe ’26 tour, with concerts in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.

The Ankara-born rapper will kick off the UK leg at O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on Sunday, 18 October, before heading to XOYO Birmingham on Monday, 19 October. He will then perform at Manchester Academy 2 on Tuesday, 20 October, followed by Edinburgh’s The Liquid Room on Wednesday, 21 October.

The dates form part of an extensive European run taking Ezhel through Barcelona, Lisbon, Strasbourg, Zurich and Milan before Britain, followed by Dublin and Dortmund later in October. Several continental dates, including Barcelona, Strasbourg and Milan, are already listed as sold out by the tour promoter.

For British fans, the tour offers another chance to see an artist whose journey from Ankara’s underground rap scene to international stardom has helped transform the profile of Turkish-language hip hop.

Ezhel, whose real name is Sercan İpekçioğlu, broke into the mainstream with his landmark 2017 debut album Müptezhel. Mixing hip hop and trap with reggae, dub and elements of Anatolian music, the record spawned enduring favourites including Geceler, Şehrimin Tadı and İmkansızım, and helped usher Turkish rap firmly into the mainstream.

T-VINE readers may remember that we first previewed Ezhel’s UK debut at Camden’s Jazz Café in May 2018, when he was still emerging as one of Türkiye’s hottest new rap talents. Eight years on, his London return takes him to the considerably larger O2 Forum Kentish Town, underlining just how much his international following has grown.

From Ankara to Berlin and beyond

Now based in Berlin, Ezhel has increasingly built bridges between Türkiye’s rap scene and its European counterparts.

His collaborations include German-Turkish rapper Ufo361, with whom he recorded the 2019 album Lights Out, and Dutch-Turkish star Murda, his partner on the hugely successful 2020 album Made In Turkey. His music has also brought collaborations with the likes of Luciano, Gentleman and British rapper Aitch.

The latter appeared on Bridges, one of the standout collaborations from Ezhel’s second solo album Derdo, released in November 2024.

The 12-track record found Ezhel reflecting heavily on identity, belonging and homesickness, drawing on memories of Ankara alongside his experiences building a new life in Berlin. Universal Music describes the album’s title as meaning roughly “the man with the blues”, with Ezhel using the record to explore what home means when living between cultures.

He has continued releasing new music since then. His latest single, Nane نعناع, arrived in August 2026, following other new releases this year including Bana Ne Bu Sevdalardan and Başa Bela.

Fans attending October’s shows can therefore expect material spanning nearly a decade: from the songs that established Ezhel as the rebellious voice of a new generation in Türkiye, through his international collaborations and Derdo, to his newest releases.

His genre-fluid sound — moving between hard-edged rap and trap, reggae-inspired rhythms and more melodic passages — has also helped give his concerts an appeal extending well beyond conventional hip-hop audiences.
