Turkish pop royalty is heading to London this autumn, as Ajda Pekkan takes to the stage at indigo at The O2 on Sunday 15 November 2026. The concert offers British fans a chance to see one of Türkiye’s most enduring stars perform a catalogue that has provided the soundtrack to generations.
At 80, the singer known simply as the “Süperstar” remains an active force in Turkish pop, continuing to release new music and connect with younger audiences. Her London appearance forms part of a short European run, with German concerts at RuhrCongress Bochum on 31 October and Stadthalle Offenbach on 27 November.
Born in Istanbul on 12 February 1946, Pekkan began performing in 1961 at the city’s Çatı nightclub with Los Çatikos. Her breakthrough into the public eye came two years later, when she won Ses magazine’s cinema talent competition and made her screen debut in Adanalı Tayfur. A busy film career followed before singing became her main focus.
Early recordings included “Göz Göz Değdi Bana” in 1964 and “Her Yerde Kar Var” in 1965. Her self-titled debut album followed in 1968, launching a recording career encompassing around 20 studio albums, including her most recent, Ajda, released in 2021. Along the way, her Süperstar albums helped cement both her nickname and her place among Turkish pop’s defining voices.
Her repertoire is packed with familiar favourites, including “Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti”, “Hoş Gör Sen”, “Bambaşka Biri”, “Uykusuz Her Gece”, “Yaz Yaz Yaz” and “Yakar Geçerim”. From dramatic ballads to irresistible dancefloor anthems, Pekkan’s music has retained a huge audience across more than six decades.
That position received a fresh boost earlier this year when she appeared on Turkish girl band Manifest’s catchy track “Hileli”. Released on 8 May, the hit brought together one of Turkish pop’s biggest icons and its newest stars — introducing Pekkan’s distinctive voice to another generation of listeners.
She has also continued adding to her own repertoire, releasing her latest single, “Şahsen Ben”, on 2 October. For London audiences, November’s concert may prove to be one of the few chances to see Ajda Pekkan perform live and tickets are sure to sell out.
