Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Erdem Mustafa in Enfield, North London, have renewed their appeal for information as they work to find those responsible for his death.
The 35-year-old, believed to be of Turkish Cypriot descent, was named by the Metropolitan Police on Wednesday, 21 October, two days after the shooting. No arrests had been made at the time of the latest police statement.
Erdem was shot at the Sun & Woolpack pub on Hertford Road at around 9.30pm on Monday, 19 October. Police have launched a murder investigation.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite treatment for gunshot wounds, Erdem was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.
Investigators have released a CCTV image of a person they want to identify and speak to in connection with the investigation. They are urging anyone who recognises the person to come forward.
In their initial appeal, police said it was unclear whether the person pictured was a man or a woman, or whether they were wearing a disguise.

Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, expressed condolences to Erdem’s loved ones and said: “We recognise local concerns following this incident and while detectives are keeping an open mind, we believe this to be a targeted attack.”
Detectives particularly want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage that could assist their enquiries.
Chief Superintendent Anna Mccartney, who leads policing in the area, said detectives were working urgently to find those responsible. Extra officers remain locally to reassure residents, she added.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting CAD 7050/19OCT26. To provide information anonymously, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
