If you attended Bedük’s debut London gig at the O2 Academy Islington earlier this year, you would know this charismatic dance dynamo totally rocked the house!
A diverse audience of UK fans, Turkish students, British dance heads and venue regulars turned up, most having no clue as to what to expect from this multi-genre straddling musician/producer/performer. And our bi-lingual man from Ankara did not disappoint!
It was an unforgettable night of non-stop moves, grooves and jokes from Bedük, who showcased his broad repertoire of indie rock, electronic dance music, house and funk in a high-energy live show that featured English and Turkish material from his 14-year career. We all left with big grins and the buzz of anthemic tunes such as Electric Girl and Sude in our ears.
Bedük returns to London’s vibrant cultural hub, Shoreditch, with his 5-piece band to perform at Rich Mix in October. He is supported by brilliant London-based singer/songwriter Shaqdi, whose dreamy soulful vocals and urban vibes in Colorless, Better, and her most recent single Oblivious, are causing a sensation across the capital. The concert is followed by an after-party courtesy of DJ Nico Ramirez.
The night is packaged up and presented by Arts Canteen, so expect carnival vibes and a whole load of surprises!
