Ladies, if you are after some fun and want to support a good cause, get yourselves a ticket to the Rauf Raif Denktaş Turkish School Ladies Night.
Taking place at the Orpington branch of the stylish Hisar Meze Bar at the end of March, guests will be treated to a set menu dinner, live Turkish music and entertainment from the capital’s favourite cabaret artist Kader Ateş. All proceeds go towards supporting Rauf Raif Denktaş Turkish School, which operates weekly on Saturdays in Blackfen.
The supplementary school is a registered British charity and has been running since 1996 (then known as Bexley Association of Turkish Speakers). It caters for children as young as three through to those aged eighteen, giving them a chance to learn to read and write Turkish, and explore their cultural history with children of a similar age.
