Singer TruBlue’s South London ‘Cypriot Delight’ launch party to raise funds for Turkish earthquake relief

British-born Turkish Cypriot TruBlue’s pioneering Turkish-Garage fusion sound has been getting airplay on national and dance music radio for the past few years.

Her infectious tracks ‘Like That’ and ‘Crazy Love’ have been on playlists for the likes of BBC1 Extra, Kiss FM, and Heart, and Reprezent Radio.

The bi-lingual singer-songwriter from Hackney is now turning her talents to events, with the launch party for her Cypriot Delight night set to take place at Rox Restaurant & Club in Eltham over the last bank holiday in May.

The artist, whose real name is Nedret Husseyin, says it will be “a Turkish night with a bilingual twist”. She will be performing a mix of her English and Turkish songs live on the night, with DJs BP and Eren spinning the latest uplifting Garage and Reggaeton vibes. There will be belly dancing courtesy of Mirjam, with Maxine Booth as the night’s host.

Guests will be running shoulders with by a host VIPs on the night, including the legendary UK Garage producer K-Warren (formerly of Architechs), Kid Bouji,  and Versatile, and Kruez.

Proud of her Turkish roots, TruBlue also wants to use the occasion to raise money for victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkiye on 6 February.

All proceeds from Cypriot Delight’s launch night raffle will go to UK charity Turkey Mozaik Foundation, which is supporting a wealth of civil society groups and charities offering direct support earthquake to survivors as they try to rebuild their lives. Raffle tickets are priced £5 and there are some £2,000 worth of prizes to win.
