Turkish indie rock star Emre Aydın to perform in London this autumn

One of Turkiye’s biggest indie rock stars, Emre Aydın, will be back in Britain in October for an exclusive date at London’s O2 Academy Islington.

The singer-songwriter, whose accolades include winning ‘Europe’s Favourite Act’ at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008, has penned a host of hit songs, including Bu Yağmurlar, Son Defa, Sensiz İstanbul’a Düşmanım (duet with Gripin), Soğuk Odalar.

It’s been a decade since Aydın’s last album (Eylül Geldi Sonra, 2013), although the Isparta-born artist has continued to release singles, including his 2023 track Fırtınam.

Aydın’s newer songs retain the quality that first propelled him to the top of the Turkish charts back in 2006 with Afili Yalnızlık; his poetic lyrics and heartfelt soft rock ballads about love, life and relationships have an enduring appeal that not only speak to his existing fan-base, but are also attracting a new generation of pop and rock fans.
