Turkish pop singer Simge Sağın, behind number 1 hits Miş Miş and Öpücem, to play in London

One of Turkiye’s successful pop stars of the past decade, Simge Sağın, will be performing a single date in London this autumn.

The Istanbul-born classically trained singer, who is of Turkish-Albanian heritage, will be live at the Islington Assembly Hall on 8 October.

Sağın launched her pop career back in 2011 but needed to wait a few years before scoring her first hit with Miş Miş. The song reached the top of the Turkish charts in 2015 and Sağın has never looked back, going on to achieve a string of top 5 hits with Yankı (2016), Üzülmedin mi? (2017), and Öpücem (2018).

The pop star has been busy releasing new material in 2023, which includes several collaborations. She recorded Ruhum Esirin with Çağrı Telkıvıran, and Görmem Böylesin with Sefo, with the videos of both songs garnering millions of views within days of being released earlier this summer.

Sağın, 42, has previously dueted with superstars Yıldız Tilbe for her album Yıldızlı Şarkıları and Ozan Doğulu on Ne Zamandır for his 2019 album 130 BPM Kreşendo, helping to further build her profile.
