Now cheaper to call Turkey and North Cyprus with Vodafone

Over the weekend, Vodafone expanded its Europe Zone to also include Turkey and Northern Cyprus. The new tariff came into play on 23 November, bringing significant savings for Vodafone Passport customers who call these countries or use their UK mobiles or laptops when they are there.

A standard call from the UK to Turkey now costs £1 a minute, down from £1.50. Sending texts from the UK to Turkey or North Cyprus remains at 24p. However, calling the UK from Turkey or North Cyprus drops from £1.65 a minute to just 24p. Receiving UK calls while in Turkey or North Cyprus is also far cheaper, down from £1.30 a minute to 7p a minute, while texting the UK from Turkey or North Cyprus now costs just 8p.

There are also improved rates for those using the internet via their phone or tablet in Turkey or North Cyprus. More information can be found on the Vodafone Passport and Vodafone Data Traveller sections of their website, www.vodafone.co.uk
