As the winter weather bites, what could be more fun than a cosy night out at a top Turkish restaurant in North London making new friends as you listen to renowned singer-songwriter Djanan Turan and master musician Baha Yetkin perform a rich selection of sing-along-classics in Turkish?
This special night at CheMen will be in the traditional meyhane (taverna) style, where people can eat and drink as they listen to popular Turkish folk and classical music songs from a bygone era that stems from Ottoman times through to the 1950s and 60s.
Those familiar with these crowd-pleasing songs will be encouraged to join in the singing, while others will happily wave their rakı(aniseed flavoured alcohol drink) glasses in time with the musical beat.
Venue admission and fasıl entertainment is priced at £10 per person, food and drink is on top.
