Walking tour: from Turkish baths to a golden grasshopper, discover the quirky sights of the City of London

Qualified City of London tour guide Muhsin Mustafa is keen to share his passion about the capital and the great history it has to offer.

Muhsin invites us to join him on a 90-minute walking tour of the City of London, where he will point out a host of fascinating objects, statues and medieval shop signs that we would normally miss as we scuttle around London’s busy financial district.

Founded by Romans nearly 2,000 years ago, the City is the oldest part of the capital and it has a wealth of cultural treasures. You will be amazed what you can see if you stop and look up – aided by an expert guide.

Discover the City’s Turkish Bathhouse, a historic royal procession frieze, a door dedicated to the Bronte sisters, and the Mercer’s Maiden the symbol of the wealthiest medieval livery company, a golden grasshopper and two little mice!

If you’re intrigued, sign up to this walking tour that takes place on the last Saturday of this month. It’s just £10 per person, with tickets available online.
