Hackney’s Laburnum Street Turkish Food festival is back this January!

Enjoy delicious Turkish food with your family and friends at this year’s Laburnum Street Turkish Food Fair.

This three-day event in East London is organised annually by Suleymaniye Mosque and attended by thousands of visitors from all backgrounds.

Diners can tuck into freshly cooked, tasty Turkish food that range from kebabs to desserts such as baklava, rice pudding and ashure, with all the ingredients halal approved. There’s also soft cold and hot drinks, including Turkish coffee.

The event also doubles as a charity fundraiser, helping to raise vital funds to maintain this lovely mosque, which is firmly embedded in the local community.

The event kicks off at 12.30pm on Friday 19 January and runs all weekend, closing at 7.30pm each day, Entry into the site is free – just pay for what you consume. You can dine in on site or do take away.

Travel: on-street parking in nearby streets is free on Saturday after 13:30 and all day Sunday, but check road signs before you park.
